You can’t fault our latest graduate placement, Tom Lovell, for effort. He’s not only featured on the cover of this month’s Creative Review (that’s him, third from the left), but he also designed the cover. Talk about a canny piece of self-promotion. Not bad going for someone who says he ‘fell into graphic design’ after taking psychology, business studies and sculpture at sixth form. Tom is one of eight graduates to be chosen from across the UK and featured in the September issue of CR talking about their work, their placements and their hopes for the future. Originally from Cambridge, Tom has been on tour for most of the summer, doing a range of placements with design agencies across the UK. This week he’s been surfing the sofas of Sheffield while working at Iris and has already produced some design work that will be presented to clients. He also makes a decent cuppa, so he’s the consummate all-rounder.
